Children’s Concerts
In 1995 Pinchas Zukerman inaugurated our Children’s Concerts program. We offer these free concerts to schools and home school groups throughout the region, performed by some of the artists from the evening concerts.
Schools are urged to include a majority of students who have not had previous opportunities to be exposed to classical music.
Invitations are issued to schools and home school groups in the following areas: City of Charlottesville, the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Nelson, Culpeper and Orange. Many schools in the outlying areas tell us that they have never been offered such invitations before.
By the end of the 2021/22 season the Series will have presented these concerts to more than 62,000 children.
Please call the Executive Director at 434-244-9505 if you would like your school or school group to be included in these invitations.
