From the north

Follow 29 South through Charlottesville. As you pass Barracks Road Shopping Center, 29 South becomes Emmet Street. Follow Emmet Street through three lights. The fourth light will be at the intersection of Emmet and Ivy. Continue straight and the UVA Central Grounds Parking Garage is on the left. For the C-1 parking lot (limited parking) continue under one bridge then up the ramp on the right to McCormick Road. Make an immediate left then immediate right onto Cabell Drive, which leads to the C-1 lot. For the Stadium Parking Garage go up same ramp, make a right at McCormick Road and continue to garage.

From I-64

Take Exit 118-B to Charlottesville and then take the next right exit (it comes up very quickly). Turn off this exit towards Charlottesville. This will put you on Fontaine Avenue. At the second light, go straight as Fontaine changes into Jefferson Park Avenue.

Parking Locations

Due to the closing of the B-1 parking lot, the Series has arranged for a variety of parking options for our patrons. They are listed below, with links to maps:

1) Hospital & Parking Garage South (recommended access via Monroe Lane only, due to construction on 15th Street) 2/10 mile south of Jefferson Park Avenue. Note: This free parking arrangement is presently for the Tuesday Evening Concert Series only, not for other events at Old Cabell Hall. Only Series patrons may park here on our concert nights. No parking charge.

Instructions: From JPA, go south on Monroe Lane, make left at Crispell Drive. The entrance is at 15th Street & Crispell Drive. From the garage, walk back up Monroe Lane, turn left on on JPA, cross Brandon Avenue, then cross JPA, take the stairs at northwest corner of the intersection, walk left in front of Wilson Hall into Cabell Hall. Take elevator to the 4th floor, then walk north through the building to the Lawn. Entrance to Old Cabell Hall is to your left.

Note: The Series will continue to rent this garage, free-of-charge to our patrons, ONLY if a sufficient number of patrons use it.

2) Central Grounds Parking Garage on Emmet Street. Not restricted to Series patrons. Hourly parking fee of 60¢.

Instructions: Take elevator to 4th floor, then either walk up outdoor stairs to the right of Newcomb Hall or enter Newcomb Hall and take elevator to the 3rd floor,. Walk straight ahead to McCormick Road, make a right and then a left at the Amphitheater and proceed to Old Cabell Hall.

3) Scott Stadium parking lots (E3 & T4) , corner of Stadium & Whitehead Roads. Free parking after 5 pm. Free shuttle service to the Amphitheater Bus Stop by Garrett Hall (changed from Clark Hall due to recent construction), which is a short walk to Old Cabell through the colonnade along Bryan Hall) every 15 minutes beginning 1 1/2 hours prior to performances and pickup at the Amphitheater Bus Stop following the performances.

4) K-2 parking lot (on east side of Brandon Avenue), 1/10 mile south of JPA. This is a small, gravel lot open to anyone, NOT restricted to Series patrons. Walk up Brandon to JPA, then follow instructions for #1, above.

5) C-1 parking lot, adjacent to Bryan and Cabell Halls and accessed from McCormick Drive, designated by UVA as a priority location for people with handicapped license plates or physical limitations and requiring a parking permit. Apply via the Series. No parking charge.
