Welcome to the Tuesday Evening Concert Series

Since 1948, the mission of the Series has been to present chamber music concerts of the highest calibre by major and emerging talents from around the world. The performances take place in Cabell Hall Auditorium at the University of Virginia, designed by Stanford White in 1896 and lauded by artists from around the world for its excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere, perfect for chamber music.

Since 1995 the Series has had a related mission to provide on a regular basis outreach services to school-age children through cultural activities with artists who have been engaged for the evening concerts. Nearly 36,000 schoolchildren have participated in these free events.

The Series is a 501©(3) non-profit, financially-independent organization.
